- Guiding members regularly regarding Seamen’s Provident Fund Organization (SPFO)
Representations to Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India
- To represent about seafarers welfare on regular basis to National Welfare Board.
- We represent release of Seafarers held hostage by Pirates on hijacked ships
- To represent release of seafarers stranded in Foreign countries.
- To help getting the seafarer home in case of injury
- To help getting deceased seafarer home and ensure his mortal remains reach to his next of kin
Representations to the Mercantile Marine Departments
- Helping member line and their Seafarers regarding training, Certification, Endorsements
- Rationalization of the Contents and Format of the Articles of Agreement w.r.t. CBA, SEA, etc.
Representations to Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India
- To initiate international actions in case of stranded seamen, vessels under piracy attack.
- Ensure release of Seafarers held hostage by Pirates on hijacked ships
- To stop criminalization of Seafarers by intervening at diplomatic level with some countries like Indonesia, South Korea etc.
Representations to Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India
- For ratification of Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 from time to time.
Representations to Ministry of Law, Govt. of India
- For rationalization of Merchant Shipping RPSL Rules from time to time.
- For formulating seafarer Training rules from time to time.
